Poem: Blast From the Past

short, sharp pangs

what a surprise seeing you again

deep, down there

buried beneath dusty piles of

black and white memories

replayed and remastered

like a reminiscing reboot film

but reality sets in like a dissonant clang

as familiar echoes clash with changing chords

time and space have made us strangers
